Use Bite toothpaste bits.
I think I first saw these on a Facebook ad. Because I am wanting to go plastic-free in 2020, I thought this was a great way to get rid of toothpaste tubes.
I first tried these when I was at the lake at a ladies weekend. My aunt tried them too. We both felt it was kinda weird at first, since it is a totally different way to brush your teeth. I felt like I was chewing up a mint or something without swallowing it. Once you start brushing with the wet toothbrush, it foams up a bit. When you are done brushing, your mouth feels clean and fresh without being over minty.
The bits are shipped in a completely backyard compostable cellulose wrapper. No plastic! The glass container is only included with the initial shipment, since you refill it every time. The actual shipment comes in a small box with recyclable brown paper inside.
The bits contain xylitol, so keep them away from pets! They are all-natural, sulfate-free, and cruelty free.
I plan on using these from now on. There are also other formulas available if you don’t prefer the mint. Check them all out here: https://bitetoothpastebits.com/
