Posted on February 3, 2020May 25, 2020

Tip generously. I know this might create an uproar for some people, but I believe when you are out and getting served by someone, they deserve to be rewarded for it. As a daycare provider, I know what it is like to work long hours and have to deal with ( more… )

Day 33- Event Recycling

Posted on February 2, 2020February 20, 2020

Make recycling a priority at events. Today is SuperBowl Sunday. I am in Kansas City where our Chiefs are getting ready to play in the big game. There are celebrations everywhere happening right now. I am watching the celebrations in Miami and all the pre-game shows on TV right now. ( more… )

Day 32- Cat litter

Posted on February 1, 2020February 20, 2020

Use natural cat litter. If you are a cat lover, like I am, then you know that cat litter is a must for your indoor cat. There are so many to choose from, but when thinking about what is best for the environment, you will want to choose a natural ( more… )

Day 31- Rags

Posted on February 1, 2020May 25, 2020

Use old clothes for rags. When you have clothes you can no longer use because of stains or holes and they are not donatable, consider using them for rags. I use my husband’s old white T-shirts for dust cloths, nail polish remover cloths, and cleaning and polishing rags. I have ( more… )

Support local vendors. When you support small businesses in your community, you are helping feed a family and increasing the economic climate of your neighborhood. Not to say workers in big corporations don’t need their checks to survive too, but it is different when you are supporting a family business. ( more… )

Day 27- Accountability

Posted on January 27, 2020May 25, 2020

Hold Companies Accountable! I believe that each and every voice counts. Wherever you choose to shop, you are making a statement that you like the way that store does business. When you choose to purchase a product, you are saying that you like that product and what the company has ( more… )

Day 26- Choose Recycled

Posted on January 26, 2020May 25, 2020

Use Recycled paper products. I just returned from my favorite store. I needed to get more computer printer paper. When I went down the aisle there were only a couple choices of paper, since my favorite store is certainly not an office supply store. I looked at the cheapest ream, ( more… )

Day 25- Makeup wipes

Posted on January 25, 2020February 20, 2020

Stop using makeup wipes. I love makeup. My daughter loves makeup. She loves to watch makeup tutorials and practice different looks. Because of this, we have more makeup in the house than we need. My daughter loves using makeup wipes to take off her makeup. She likes the ease of ( more… )
