Day 102- Trash

Posted on April 18, 2020May 25, 2020

Pick up litter you see. This seems like an easy one, but too often it gets missed. This is a great thing to start teaching your kiddos during the upcoming Earth week. If are taking a walk around the neighborhood, bring a trash bag with you. Bring a pair of ( more… )

Day 101- Stop wearing animals

Posted on April 12, 2020May 25, 2020

Don’t wear animals. Where do you think your leather jacket came from? How about your suede shoes or your wool and fur coat? The process of getting these materials is disturbing and disgusting to say the least. Leather is sourced from animals that are transported from China and India to ( more… )

Day 100- Veganism

Posted on April 12, 2020May 25, 2020

Become vegan. The number one thing you can do to save the earth (plus your health and animals) is to switch to a vegan lifestyle. Veganism is not a new thing, but it is an upcoming trend. More and more people are learning about the benefits of becoming vegan- the ( more… )

Day 99- Libraries

Posted on April 12, 2020May 25, 2020

Use the library. I love the library! It is such a great place for research, for relaxation, and for learning. If you have kiddos, you should definitely introduce them to the library. Most have interactive play areas for your kiddos as well. The library teaches your kiddos to respect books ( more… )

Day 98- Recipes

Posted on April 11, 2020May 25, 2020

Use online recipes. This is something I do quite often now. There are so many great sites out there! One of the things that I have been doing during this “stay at home” time is going through my recipe books and magazines. I had accumulated quite a few over the ( more… )

Day 97- 5G

Posted on April 8, 2020May 25, 2020

Learn about 5G. As things get faster and faster around us, we need to think about how much we really need when it comes to electronic speed. The cell phones and computers we use are constantly evolving. It seems the newest version comes out right after we purchased the last ( more… )

Day 96- Drinks

Posted on April 5, 2020May 25, 2020

Make coffee and smoothie drinks at home. I am not a coffee drinker, but I do enjoy a smoothie every now and then. We all know how popular coffee drinks are, and thanks to my teenage daughter, I know how expensive they are as well. These coffee shops are making ( more… )

Day 95- Garage Sales

Posted on April 5, 2020May 25, 2020

Support garage sales. I love garage sales! The season is upon us, and I am hoping that this virus ends soon, so I can go snag some deals! If I look around my home, I can see so many things that I have gotten from garage sales or thrift stores. ( more… )

Day 94- Mason Jars

Posted on April 5, 2020May 25, 2020

Reuse mason jars. I had seen mason jars at craft stores, but had not thought much about them. That all changed a few years ago. My husband’s father passed away in 2016, and he was in charge of taking care of his estate. On his property of five acres, there ( more… )

Day 93- Styrofoam

Posted on April 5, 2020May 25, 2020

Stop using styrofoam. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I do not understand why this product is still on the market for businesses to use for packing materials or for food and drink containers. Even though it is a cheaper alternative to other containers and may be a ( more… )
