Use reusable pouches.
I have not been a fan of pouches for food or drink since I used to send them to Terracycle for recycling. The smell from saving them was less than appealing and resulted in me dropping this recycling program.
Many people use disposable applesauce and yogurt pouches or baby food pouches for their kiddos. A reusable pouch is a great alternative.
It is a bit more time consuming to fill these yourself, as you would probably need a funnel, but in the long run, it would be much cheaper than buying the overpriced version at the store. I know purchasing a big container of applesauce is a lot cheaper than the disposable and non-recyclable pouches that are offered at the store. As a person that had to clean those out for recycling, I can tell you the contents were as appealing as the smell. When you use the reusable pouches, you can be well aware of what is put into the pouch and can control how well they are washed.
I have not tried those pictured above or any other reusable pouches, as it is not something I would use, especially since my kiddos are teens. But, if you have young kiddos or make your own baby food, they could be a great option for you.
Think about trying these in place of the others at the store. The disposable options are not easily recyclable and end up in the already overcrowded landfills. There is a great article about these type of pouches that is worth the read: https://www.greenbiz.com/article/tale-two-snack-pouches
