Recycle your bottle caps.

I do not drink out of glass bottles regularly, but since I am trying to become plastic-free in 2020, I will most likely start doing it more.

I read a great way to recycle bottle tops in a book I read called 101 Ways to Go Zero Waste by Kathryn Kellogg.

If you open a food can, but not all the way, you can put your bottle caps inside and close the lid back up to throw it in the recycle bin. None of the bottle caps will be lost out of the can, and all will be recycled.

This is a great idea, because small items in the recycle bin get lost during sorting and can get into the wrong place or end up jamming the recycling machines. The food can ensures those small bottle caps don’t get lost.

If you have a great recycling idea, please share it below in the comments!
