Use both sides of paper.
I am a list maker. I have tried reminders on my phone, but it is just not as satisfying as crossing off something on my list. I use an Excel spreadsheet that I print out each week for my Chore List and cross off each chore after I do it. If you are interested in using something similar, it is on my blog under “Tips and Tricks to Save Time.”
My daughter loves to write about everything! She asked for cheap spiral notebooks for Christmas because she had filled up all the spirals she had. I bought her a stack of notepads at Staples™ because then she can recycle the whole pad, instead of having to rip out all the paper from the metal spiral before she could recycle it.
I have a daycare in my home. The kiddos use paper every day for free art. We use paper for many projects that we do. I am trying to instill in them to use both sides of the paper and am teaching them to recycle the paper when they mess up instead of throwing it away in the trash.
Needless to say, we go through A LOT of paper at my house. Unless it is construction paper or sticky note paper, it gets put into the recycle bin.
I believe there is a lot of value in using paper, so I do not want to take that creative outlet away from anyone. In this home, it will still be used, just used as much as it possibly can on one sheet before it is recycled.
