Pick up dog waste!
Aren’t dogs cute?
I agree that they are, but do you know what isn’t? Dog waste.
I get so frustrated when I am in my front yard cleaning up my own dog’s waste, and I see waste that is definitely not from my small dog.
I took my dog on a walk today, and I could not believe how many piles of dog waste I saw just going around the block. Is it that hard to pick up after your dog?
Not only is dog waste harmful to the look of your yard in that it can burn or discolor your lawn, but it also can carry diseases which can leach into the soil and cause illness in those that might touch the soil or the dog waste improperly.
Having the daycare in my home, I make sure to clean the yard each week of any dog waste in case kiddos or their parents walk through the grass. Imagine also walking around in your home with shoes on that might have come in contact with dog waste.
This video explains it pretty well:
So, please, please, please, pick up after your dog when you take them out! Whether it be in your yard for your safety, or other places that affect others safety, it is the right thing to do. I will speak for the environment and myself when I say thank you.
