Use a bamboo hair brush.

This is something I am going to switch to this year.

I love the brush I already use, but all parts of it are plastic. This would be a better choice for the environment.

Bamboo is natural and will break down in the environment naturally. There is no guilt involved in throwing this brush away.

Since the average time a person keeps their hair brush is six months to a year, that is a lot of hair brushes going into the landfills each year. I have definitely had my brush for a few years, but I clean the hair out of it after every use. Here is a great video that shows you how to clean your hairbrushes- both wooden and plastic.

I can’t wait to try the new bamboo hairbrush. I plan to use this method of cleaning on the brush I have now and my new brush. There are many places to find bamboo brushes online. I will let you know which one I choose and what I think about it in a future Woo Hoo Product Review post.
