Reuse mason jars.
I had seen mason jars at craft stores, but had not thought much about them. That all changed a few years ago.
My husband’s father passed away in 2016, and he was in charge of taking care of his estate. On his property of five acres, there was a house, a very large old dairy barn that was two levels, and a train car. All were filled to the brim with tools and all sorts of things. Needless to say, it was a HUGE time-consuming project.
During this cleaning effort, I found dozens of mason jars. I took them home, cleaned them out, and have been using them slowly. I have made makeup brush holders, drink tumblers, and flower vases. I have found lots of great ideas on Pinterest.
There is a restaurant in KC that serves desserts in mason jars. Whenever my family has one of these desserts, I rinse out the jar and save it for my collection.
If you have extra mason jars at home, I recommend going to Pinterest and looking up ideas. Here is my Pinterest board for mason jars: https://www.pinterest.com/dcmom70/mason-jars/
