Use the library.
I love the library! It is such a great place for research, for relaxation, and for learning.
If you have kiddos, you should definitely introduce them to the library. Most have interactive play areas for your kiddos as well. The library teaches your kiddos to respect books and gives them responsibility in returning books in good condition and on time. They can explore all genres and writing styles of books as well. They also have videos and book kits to check out.
Libraries can save hundreds of dollars on buying books for yourself. I have a library at home with books that I love, but use the library to check out all kinds of books. I also have a large library of kids books that I use for the daycare. I only supplement with library books, as the kids can be hard on books.
I have tons of books that I purchased from a garage sale years ago that I am trying to go through. They are under my bed and in baskets in the bookshelf. Right now, they are taking up a lot of space. They are not “keepers” for my library, so I want to read them and donate them. Books take up a lot of space, so keep the ones you love and could read over and over and keep the books that you want to share with your children.
Reading online books is the best way to save the earth of unnecessary tree loss, but I do love traditional books. Libraries are a great way to support traditional books, but lessen the cost to you and the environment.
